Living at Laurie's : Haiku, Maui
My time spent at Laurie's was rough. It was my first experience on Maui and it cut deep. I opened my heart up to try to truly help this woman and I got burned. Now I am learning to heal those wounds and forgive, it's hard. I looked upon this while I was living here as a way to help this lady, open myself up in the process and save / make money. It ended very quickly (9 Days) and painfully but it was one hell of a learning lesson in many ways. Here are some pictures of my living situation...

House-Sitting
After living at Sacred Waters for about a month, I was introduced by Karen and Fuji (Owners of Sacred Waters) to a man named George who gave me the opportunity to house sit for him. I was absolutely stoked. I had been looking for housing and here was this perfect opportunity. I said yes, bursting with gratitude.
I stayed there for about a month too. Most of that time was a very internal time. I had a huge house and property to myself, piles of books, oz. of marijuana, pen and paper and plenty of time to my self to think and search within. I spent most of the time reading, writing, smoking, meditating, cooking, doing yoga and admiring nature.
Molokai is authentic. It is Hawaiin. It is a way of life; Aloha. I fell in love with Molokai. I've never been to place like it and I don't think a place that I will. I'll remember this island fondly for the rest of my life and hopefully return one day.
Here are some pictures of that time :)
